Cute story

GOTTA LOVE LITTLE BOYS
Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter.
The man at the counter asked the older boy, 'Son, how old are you?'
'Eight', the boy replied.
The man continued, 'Do you know what these are used for?'
The boy replied, 'Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him He's my brother. He's four. We saw on TV that if you use these, you would be able to swim and ride a bike.
Right now, he can't do either one.'

Beautiful Things

It is October (again) and I must say it has been a great month so far. I have many things to be grateful for and lots to look forward to. James has passed his CTO (certified tower operator) test which means he can work in the tower and give clearance delivers to airplanes. He and we are very excited about this. We are well on our way to full blown ATC (air traffic controller). We are enjoying our little family very much and are amazed at how fast the kids change. Kaleb is very excited about Halloween and wants our house to be the scariest on the block. He decided to be a ninja with Roz the pumpkin and maggie the ballerina following along side him. We have started reading the scriptures at night and it has really been fun watching Kaleb make sense of the verses. He also has decided he loves his sister and would be sad to not have her.. it only took 6 months. Sydney has been growing like a weed and changes daily. I am really excited to get her into her Halloween costume. She is going to be a Skunk. Sydney has started babbling strings of sounds that sound very much like "Da Da" . Sydney really has learned very young how to get to her daddy's heart. I turned 31 last week.. I am dealing with this. I have decided that my 30's have been much better than my 20's so bring it ON!. James and I have our 1 year wedding anniversary coming up on the 20th. I don't think that sounds nearly long enough. We have been together for almost 3 years and that still doesn't seem long enough. I know that most people would think that sounds negative but I mean it in the best possible way. We just clicked so fast that is is hard to believe it was such a short time ago that it all began.

Days gone by

Occasionally I like to search my name and James' name on google and today I was SURPRISED to find a website created by a Jim Ipsen. It was totally dedicated to his first love and until last year he was still fawning over her. Her name is DRZ. This website was made back in 1998 when James first move to Provo. It is a pretty cute website

September

Hello again, its my favorite time of the year and the best time to get out and enjoy the beautiful mountains. The family and I have been out hiking around, and it was a great weekend of cool weather, changing leaves, and great memories. After our Hike on Saturday James made the best, and largest hamburgers I have ever seen. Sunday was more of the same, hiking, fire pit and smores! We took the grandeur peak trail and 3 miles might not seem like alot but going straight up hill altitude change of 3000 feet! Yikes. I was trying to be tough and carry Sydney on my bike for the hike up, I pretty much can't feel my legs now and its hard to turn my head either direction. Its pretty discouraging how much my body's recovery rate has slowed. Sydney had a good time riding in the hiking backpack. She even slept most of the ride up and down the hill. The dogs also were loving the freedom (on odd days up Millcreek you don't need to have your dogs on leashes). Sydney has been changing everyday she seems to be one of those kids that will grow up fast. This makes me sad and baby hungry again, crazy. My sweet little Kaleb is a social butterfly who we see for brief moments of the evening and weekend due to his need to have friends around him constantly. He loves to ride his bike, scooter or anything that goes fast and he can get seriously hurt on. He has little fear of getting hurt but when he gets hurt there are major tear works that come. James is working hard at the tower, mostly he just wishes he could get checked out in his position so he could be official and receive all the benefits of being check out! $$$We have been learning to live on less and spend many more nights enjoying free entertainment. I am talking about beautiful evening walks, TV movies, Cadoo, facebook... I did spend some moola on a new haircut and highlights. I had turned into a crazy woman hating all my clothes, hating my hair, makeup, nails.. etc etc.. So I figured a cheap therapy session would only cost 60$. It worked for now! My poor sweet husband.. I feel bad he has to deal with me but it only happens a couple times a year (you may need to check with him on the accuracy of that last statement?) The funniest thing from this past weekend: Kaleb started freaking out when a bug landed on him- these were insects of unusual kind. They looked like a grasshopper mated with a hornet. It was sick and I must admit I was a little shaken by them too. YUCK. Kaleb was eating his hot dog and this huge bug landed on his leg which made him freeze, start to shake and become petrified with fear! It was even more funny because I had to get it off of him. I actually had a moments thought of just running, but my mom instincts kicked in and I took a rock and hit his leg with it. luckily it didn't injure Kaleb at all. :) see I am a good mom!
