Family Ketchup
Another christmas has come and gone. The presents are distributed throughout the house and most of the garbage is already gone (thanks to the saturday pick up.. whoop whoop). I am considering keeping my christmas stuff up for another month just because I hate putting it away. It still didn't quite seem like Christmas this year and I don't know what it is that makes it "seem" like Christmas? None the less the calendar assures me it has happened and it diffently has passed. We are excited to start the next year and anxious for another baby to bless our house. It has been so much fun watching our kids grow and play with each other I can't imagine how another little boy is going to change our home. James is still loving his job and most days remains optimistic about maintaining his employment. I somehow mangaged to make it through a semester of school and so glad I don't have to go back in January! Now the count down begins for maternity leave! Hope the new year starts and ends easy!

Ready Set Snow

I love the fall and winter time until the snow hits. My car somehow gets messier (as if that is possible), any tiny teeny chip in windshield now turns into a monster crack, and the wipers seem to have a mind of their own on when they will work. The adjustment period for the car and myself is almost complete and Kaleb is finally getting the idea that he DOES need a jacket when he goes outside. With all the wonderful snow come the sledding. My 8 year old son's eyes light up with the anticipation of conquering the biggest, slickest hill possible. Unfortunately, we do not have any big hills near us except for the man-made piles of shoveled snow. Last night was one of those "need to conquer moments for him. Kaleb, being determined to slide, grabbed his longest sled and headed for the top of this snow pile. Without thinking he took a leap on the sled and the bottom of the sled hit the ground before he even got in. Out he flipped and landed squarely on his face. Not that this isn't bad enough he later slipped on the sidewalk and fell on his face and re-injured the exact same spot. The possible black eye turned into a definite black eye after that. I spent the night convincing him that he would not loose his vision and the swelling would go away. I have no idea where he gets his paranoia from??
With all the greatness of the season comes much to be grateful for. I am of course grateful for the usual; Great family, friends, jobs, good health, and freedoms BUT also for the less obvious. Those things being; Hot chocolate- couldn't live without you and thanks for helping me overcome coffee..phew, Scarves- thanks for keeping my freakish long neck warm, Blistex-oh how you make my lips happy, and for that pen in my purse that is never out of ink. Of course, there are many many more things but today that is my list. If I was ultra blog-a-rific I would post pictures to accompany this but I am at work.. slaving away so I can't, geez I do have some work ethic.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!

Car and driver report

As I get further along with this pregnancy business I am faced the reality I may have to get a bigger car. What kind of car am I? With 3 kids, passed 30 and definately domesticated a mini van would be of no shame. However, I always have wanted an SUV or truck. With any of these vehicles you become something, someone you may not have been before. I think its similar to getting a super power and unless trained you can be a danger to others and yourself. For instance;
THE MINIVAN MOM: Usually on a cell phone, managing her house while driving. The van is literally an extension of her home. She may even have a pile of laundry waiting to be folded in the front seat. The van has all buttons at her finger tips.. movies, lights, music, reverse motion sensor and automatic door openers (so you don't have to put down your phone ever) The van may be a complete disaster or clean as a whistle. The women most often will not use a blinker cause she is too busy managing her house..HELLO! You know she wants to turn.. just look at where her eyes are pointing. Reason I want to get one: Room, ease of getting kids in and out, and I have an excuse for my clueless driving.
The SUV MOM: Usually on a blue tooth, managing her business or 6 plus kids. The rear window will tell you which it is. Look for business logo or stick figure people. Generally will use blinkers, but only at the last minute and will turn regardless cause even if you are there she can crush you, so who really cares? Usually going the speed limit ++ even in the worst winter conditions.
Reason I want to get one: I really would like the feeling of an impenetrable vehicle, like the feeling of being 10 feet off the ground and having no vision of traffic around me, I can haul my entire family, their friends, dogs, load of groceries, lumber and a mattress on top.
TRUCK MOM: See SUV mom but add metal testicals hanging from the bottom of the truck and a calvin and hobbes urinating sticker. Reason I want to get one: See above answer for SUV and add metal testicals. Really they speak for themselves. Maybe you could hook those to a mini-van or I wonder if they sell metal ovaries?
I obviously have some serious soul searching to do before June.
Hope everyone had a great T-Day!

SIGHTING ALERT
As this year passes I realize I have not been to relief society for almost 7 months, this really has not been entirely my fault. I have had a noisy, curious, independant little girl as an accomplise. This RULE breaker is now old enough to go to her age appropriate class. LOUD CHEERS.. but now I lost my excuse to not attend classes. I guess all things must come to an end. I have learned alot about raising my kids especially what it takes to keep them entertained for the 1 hour of church. First you must start off with 2 bags and bring the necessary items; Pack of crayons (so they can spill out all over the floor and into the bottom of the bag), notebook (so that while your kids are coloring they find some doodles you inadvertantly made of slightly inappropriate things years and years ago), 2 tupperware dishes full of different cereal (this is only there as comfort since they will beg for food from the people's children sitting next to you) as a side note.. this is a cheap way to test out what snacks your kids truely like, 20+ plus books (this is just to look like you read to your children), Noisy toy with batteries removed (this is used as a weapon when one is not getting their way to escape). These are the necessities of church and just when I think I can't get anymore organized, the book I need for class was left with my husband in his class. I was left book-less, Kid-less, and holding a stuffed monkey.

Blog Failure
Its been awhile since I have posted. We have been so busy with our rockin roll life style its been hard to find a free minute. I guess you could believe that unless you knew me, and know I am generally a home body. My only other excuse would be nothing exciting to write about. I have several friends whose blogs are filled with exciting adventures of just normal daily activities. For instance going to the grocery store could be the blog for the day. The best part is its actually interesting and funny! I really need to get with it and start finding totally humorous, ridiculous things to write about my family's daily doings.
This past month Kaleb has started school, and has only missed 2 days. I can tell this is going to be an awesome year already! We were told last year that if we did not keep his attendance up he would not be allowed to come back. You see the situations is, we are out of area people going to this school and apparently they can dump you if you are bad. However, in my defense Kaleb was sent home sick both days.
Sydney has started talking, alot which is why we are working really hard with her on sign language. She started learning it at daycare (love our daycare)and its really cute plus its a quiet language. Now that she realizes she has a voice we are completely prepared to go silent. She doesn't really follow this request very well since her words are coming faster than the sign language. I guess we will have to deal with another talker in the house. :)
ME, I started school this past month too. The class is a second time through physiology class. I would like to think I will get a better grade this time but I guess we will just have to see. I get so nervous taking tests/quizzes and I feel like I have to be one of the first people to complete it. I just love that feeling of looking at teacher as you are the first to put the scantron down in front of her. I am sure she is thinking "she is the smartest student I have ever had." She thinks this of course until she starts to grade the test. My fatal flaw is, I don't have time to read through the questions thouroughly enough and still be the first one done. This can be a big problem since most of my professor's quizzes go something like this "All of the following statements are true about eukaryote cells: except and then some possible right answers with the traditional; A and B, B and C, All the above or none of the above. I always seem to miss the bold text "except" word. Hopefully now that I am aware I will never make this mistake again cause of course I would never do that. I am way too smart for that
: - )
James is doing really awesome at his Air Traffic job. I am so proud of him, in fact I think I will make him a radar-scope shaped cake today. It will be easy since its basically the shape of a regular 9 x 13 cake pan. I will just have to add little dots all over it for the planes.
Now that I have my day mapped out and updated my blog for my hundreds of followers I am complete. I will post some pictures later today. We had a few moments worthy of picture taking this past month. Zoo, Hiking, 4-wheeler, New Truck, first day of school (I will need to reinact this moment sometime this next week.. I forgot to take a picture of the actual day), Children's museum and our new gang tag that I read on-line was directly related to the Mexican Mafia. SWEET
over and out
